I've been coming to Mary's since college, and it still tastes just as delicious as the first time I visited! The food is always quick to come out, well seasoned. They never disappoint!

This is a nice restaurant off of south boulevard. The food was great and it was nicely decorated. The drinks were good. Staff were professional and able to make reviews of items. There is a parking lot it's a bit bumpy so drive slow. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

"How do you solve a problem named Maria(s)?" Seems like God has already provided me with the answer, or a partial one at least... My friend recommended that we meet here for the real deal birra over a year ago. We never made it. But here I am, with two hours ahead of me and an empty belly. I remember the restaurant is in the area and pleasantly discover it's not far. Before I'm settled, warm chips and salsa makes it to my table. Chips weren't salted but because they are warm they accept a sprinkle or two. I keep my order simple. A margarita, a coke and two birra tacos. They don't serve regular coke, so she offered a Mexican one instead. All I can say is, "thank you Lord!" that I haven't tried this place before today. For the past two years, my daughter works out twice a week literally right around the block. Had I known how great Maria's is, I'd have been here sooner AND at least three times a week! But the Lord saves me when I can't save myself! My daughter will be training in another state all summer long so I don't have to worry about gaining 30 lbs this summer because of the over consumption of birra. I will tackle the problem again in the fall when she gets back!

I was in the mood to try somewhere new for Taco Tuesday and popped into this place at the urging of a friend. Unassuming on the outside and tight and warm on the inside but I appreciated the artwork on the booths. It was packed so clearly it's popular! I specifically wanted to try the birria tacos (chicken version). I nearly filled myself up on the complimentary chips and salsa first! The chips were thin and crispy and the salsa had a great fresh tomato base and a kick of spice. The refried beans and rice that came with the tacos were mid. Both could have use a lot more seasoning and the beans were a bit too smooth. I'm an extreme texture person though soooo.... Anyway the tacos....they arrived piping hot. YAY! The shells had a wonderfully charred, crispy exterior and were filled to the brim with chicken and the gooiest cheese you can imagine. Onions gave a nice crunch and extra flavor. The chicken was tender and juicy and the birria sauce was rich and savory with a hit of cilantro. Perfect for dipping the tacos in it. The shell remained intact, even though I repeatedly dipped the tacos in that sauce up to my fingertips with each bite. I'm so glad I found this family run establishment and plan to go back and try other items because I eyed an insane plate of nachos on another patron's plate that had my name written all over it.

I love exploring little mom and pop shops and hole in the wall places. This was one of them and overall I was pleased. Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Our waitress was attentive and helpful and checked on us/made sure we had refills/made sure we had enough napkins etc. Love that. Food was good. Tried the birria nachos, birria ramen, birria taco, carne asada taco, and carnitas taco. So the food wasn't bad but it wasn't mind blowing. I feel like the carne asada and carnitas taco lacked some flavor and the proteins were a bit dry. The rest was fine. The nachos, taco, and ramen birria were loaded! They are certainly not stingy with their protein. I had the drink special, frozen peach margarita... it was delicious! I'm glad I tried this place and would go again but not anytime soon. Also, there was an older waitress, short black/white hair that was all kinds of rude to the other workers and customers. It looked like she was overwhelmed and agitated. Someone should have sent her to catch her breath and chill bc her behavior and energy were negative, impacting the feel for the experience. I felt awful for the staff she was being rude to. Someone check her!

Well, it helps to research a restaurant and give them a try. I had never really noticed this restaurant near the corner. On a Saturday evening, we arrived just before the crowd really picked up. We were a party of 8 and a set of tables were joined in the back to accommodate us. Service was excellent. Our first waitress was very nice but had a mishap in the back and left unexpectedly. She was quickly replaced by another friendly and helpful staff member. I to tried the Birrias Grilled Cheese. I will give it a 3/5. A member of our party ordered the ChoriPollo and it looked delicious. I was told that it was as better as it looked and was topped with Chorizo. This will be my next menu selection to try. Maria's has a full bar. I saw a strawberry margarita special online but opted for the classic. Later, I saw they had Christmas drink specials. My drink didn't have any kick, wasn't served in a Margarita glass, and should have had a salted rim. Online, there were many drink options and food options that were not shown on the two-page menu we were given when seated. It would have been nice to have a full drink and food menu. Or, to have the waiter give you the full run-down. You will definitely want to check online to ensure your selected options are the best for you.
